Stormy is back

Why would Stormy Daniels file yet another litigation against Donald Trump?  Was she seriously harmed yet again?  Did he do something else to her?  Is she playing his game – and beating him at it?  Or is she trying to sidestep the Cohen indictment that will freeze her first litigation.  The answer is “yes” to the third and fourth questions.  So, adult-film star Stormy Daniels filed this new defamation suit against Da Prez for his “irresponsible and defamatory statements” about Daniels, whom Cohen paid $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement weeks before the 2016 election.  According to the Complaint, Trumps tweets disparaged Daniels when she had a forensic sketch prepared of a man she claims threatened to harm her if she did not stay quiet about her affair with the president.  She claims that the statements by Trump were defamatory because they accuse her of fabricating the alleged crime, which in and of itself is illegal.  Daniels is seeking damages in excess of $75,000, the jurisdictional threshold, claiming that in posting the tweets, Trump knew that Daniels “would be subjected to threats of violence, economic harm, and reputational damage.”

But the true reason that Daniels is doing so is because she is keeping this case in the limelight during a time that Trump continues to get hammered by the press.  More importantly, by suing just Da Donald, no one can run to court to claim that it should be stayed because Cohen as a result of Cohen’s soon-to-be-indictment because Cohen is not a party to the action.

As the Court stated not long ago, this is just not the most important thing facing it.  Nor should it be.  But one has to laugh that the President just cant shake this porn star.
